“Fortune, Coiled” was created in reflection of the Year of the Snake and the cyclical nature of the Lunar New Year. I was drawn to the coiled snake as a symbol of patience, intuition, and contained power—fortune as something gathered quietly rather than chased. The red and gold reference protection and prosperity, while the spiral form speaks to renewal and timing. This piece holds a moment of readiness: the pause before change, and the trust that transformation will come in its own time.
